before when i went to see a movie premiere (well stand outside lol) i saw loads of like normal people going in
did they buy tickets to go see the film or what lol
because i would love to go see the star trek one because zachary quinto will be there haha

oh and im not meaning to sound ignorant in this question its just i saw a similar one but about another movie and somebody was like you can buy tickets off this website but i forgot which one

The people who get invited to the premiere will be people who are connected with the film in some way. There will also be some "corporate guests" and people who have won tickets via promotional competitions.
I have worked on a few films in various dogs body roles and have always been invited to the premiere no matter how small my role.
star trek - the movie?
I just saw it and, for the most part, liked it, especially the first hour. I thought Chris Pine was great, although I wasn't really crazy about Zachary Quinto. I thought the main "inconsistency" with the original series was the knowledge of the Romulans: In the original series, Kirk and gang only found the Romulan/Vulcan link when the Federation was attacked (in fact, the Federation didn't even know what Romulans looked like). Here, they apparently knew about it well before history was changed by the renegade Romulan. The romance between two of the principles was also out of left field.
Anyway, my biggest problem with the movie was the "drill" that was used to cut into planetary cores. Wouldn't the Vulcan spacefleet have done whatever it could to destroy that thing (as would the Federation when it was used on Earth)? It's like both planets said: "gee there's a laser drill cutiing into our planet, how bad could that be?"

I liked the movie too, the actors were good but definitely not quite as good as the originals... All the inconsistencies were written off because the movie isn't supposed to be part of the original time line, it's an alternate reality (they talk about it in one of the bridge scenes) it doesn't effect nor is it affected by the original shows and movies...
Yeah the drill thing threw me off too, the Vulcans were supposed to have superior technology even to Earth that they were pretty much hoarding, so why the heck couldn't they destroy the friggin drill? The only excuse they could give is "oh well it's a futuristic drill, whooo" which kind of makes sense because the ship and the phasers that took it out in the end were from the future to, but still you'd think they'd have put up a least a little fight instead of standing in a cave holding hands!!!
