Is Elitist Democrat a Republican name tag to mask an inferiority complex?
When Republicans say "elitist" to a Democrat it means smart , well educated from a good background. Since the majority of college educated and advanced degrees are in the Democratic party, is this a name tag so they feel less inferior? Or do Republicans think it is a bad thing to be well educated and from a good background?
Good thought provoking question! The definition of elitist is noun . 1. practice of or belief in rule by an elite. 2. consciousness of or pride in belonging to a select or favored group.
It is true that most highly educated people are Democrats. But I think most Democrats are logical and compassionate as well as educated. And most college professors are Democrats. They care about the environment and people.
Listening to Hannity, O'Reilly, Limbaugh, Coulter...they really do not sound educated. They sound mean and bitter. They say they are Christians...but doesn't the bible show more compassion that these republicans? I have never been able to understand why they say they are the party of fiscal responsibility...yet they are the ones who amass the National Debt. I think most of the people that follow the republicans do so by merely listening to their rhetoric. They do not research their voting records.
