Fun things to do with index cards?

I found an unopened pack of 3+5 index cards ((my keyboard doesn't have a times sign)) and I don't know what to do with them i'm into poetry,photography,music,story telling,religion,and all things crafty...just a few helpfull hints to help you help me figure out what to use these index cards for!

You can place pictures on them to illustrate a story, make a notes, study guides, you can write poetry on them with a picture on the other side. If you clue them on cardboard in the shape a square you might make a picture frame (random idea, I haven't tried it but it sound cool in my mind). You can cut them into shapes and piece them together making a cool unique shape of your own (also never tried but sounds cool).

The Pros And Cons Of New Credit Card Laws

On the average, an American has eight credit cards under his name. It is therefore important that every American learns about and understand the new credit card laws. No card owner wants to be surprised with sudden changes in his credit card. The new credit card laws are beneficial to both the card holder and the financial institution. Here are some of the pros and cons in the perspective of the card holder:

CHANGES IN RATES & FEES

Pros:

Under the new credit card laws, the card holder is more informed about changes in his credit card account. No longer will you be surprised with sudden adjustments in your account. Now, every time that there is a schedule of rate increase or fee changes, the bank is required to send you a notice not less than 45 days before the changes take effect, contrary to the previous law wherein you would only get a notification 15 days before the onset of the changes.

Cons:

These new credit card laws do not put a cap on how much increase would be made on your card's interest rates. Also, there are certain changes that the bank need not inform you beforehand. These include:

1. The ending of an introductory rate and reverting to the actual non-promo rate;
2. Changes in interest rate due to an index (if your credit card's rate is coupled to an index);
3. There are interest rate increases because of non-payment of dues stated in your agreement.

 

RETROSPECTIVE RATE INCREASE

Pros:

The new credit card laws state that finance companies can no longer increase your interest rates as they see fit. The minimum time they can increase the rate is one year after the card was issued. Also, the promotional interest rates should be not less than six months.  

Cons:

According to the new credit card laws, rate increase is still permissible when:

1. The promo period has ended. The rates can then increase as previously agreed upon by both parties;
2. The rate is a variable one as it is tied to an index;
3. Rate increase is due to a payment made after 60 days of due date or what they call as the 60-day delinquency.

 

OVERLIMIT FEES

Pros:

The danger of incurring overlimit fees is now minimal, unless the card holder has agreed to allow the financial institution to approve overlimit transactions first. Furthermore, based on the new credit card laws, if you do incur an overlimit fee, you can't be billed for it more than once every billing cycle.

Cons:

Credit card holders must always contact their banks to make sure they don't get charged for spending over their limit, says the new credit card laws. If not, they are bound to be billed for it. Credit card holders must always know how much their remaining balance is.

 

LATE FEES

Pros:

When it comes to the new credit card laws, if you have made your payment exactly on the due date or on the next business day following the due date (if the banks are closed during on the date your bill is due), you won't incur a late payment fee. If you make a payment on a local branch (different from the one where you opened the account), the bank must credit your payment on that very day.

Cons:

None!

 

The list of pros and cons of the new credit card laws can go on and on. In essence, both the credit card holder and the card issuer have advantages on these new rules. These laws are designed to protect both parties. Although there are tons of advantages for you, the card holder, it is still important to read through the fine print before signing up for a new card.
